Tuesday, August 8th, 2006Tonight begins the holiday of Tu B’Av, known as the kabbalistic Valentine’s Day. It is the one day of the year when the forces of the universe are specifically tuned into the soul mate frequency. This is why our sages stated there is no happier day in the year.
It doesn’t necessarily mean you are going to meet “the one” today (though it has happened). What it does mean is your existing relationships can grow stronger provided that you create an opening for the energy to enter. That opening is the opening of your heart. Unconditional love.
Unconditional love is not as lofty as it sounds. It’s quite practical and down to earth actually. It means loving instead of judging, loving without agenda, loving when you don’t feel like loving.
Practice loving today. When you feel yourself getting annoyed or angry with someone, switch it up and emanate love. Let it flow out and it will eventually find its way back in.
