If you’ve been feeling icky these last three weeks, today ought to be a good day. The famed Kabbalist Rav Isaac Luria, the Ari, left this world on this day specifically to give us a break as we enter the homestretch of the conclusion of the three weeks.

One of the great lessons we can learn from the Ari, aside from the wealth of knowledge he revealed in his teachings, is that his spiritual journey took just 38 years. In our youth we think we have time to complete our tikun. But this is one of the illusions of the physical world. Time really isn’t on our side, in fact, it’s working against us.

The question is, do you have your eyes on the prize or are you leaving it for whenever because you think time is on your side?
