Healing Crisis

I received a curious email from a student last week. He was concerned that since he began scanning The Zohar, he was becoming more aware of his anxiety and his overall negativity. He thought maybe he was doing something wrong (’I thought everything was supposed to be perfect after I got The Zohar’ he wrote.)

I wrote back to him that what he’s experiencing is actually a good sign. Because when we’re going through difficult periods after using the tools of Kabbalah, it means the Light is at work in our lives, bringing our garbage to the surface, so we can face it and transform it.

Tilling the Soul

The common trap we fall into once we begin learning Kabbalah is judging others who don’t ‘get it.’  We think we are being ’spiritual’ but all we’re really doing is looking what’s wrong with other people.

We must always remember that we’re here in this physical body only to find the good in others.

Let Your Soul Take Control

New students often ask me to explain Kabbalah in a sentence. I tell them, ‘I don’t need a whole sentence—just one word—control.’

What do I mean by control? I certainly don’t mean manipulating people or situations to suit your selfish wants. I do mean the ability to never be a victim and to always know how to transform a bad situation into a good one—for you and everyone involved.

In kabbalistic terminology, control is seeing the Light in every situation.
