We know that the writings of Rav Ashlag are not simply teachings. By reading from his words, we actually connect to his essence.

Rav Ashlag did not have enough money for paper. Much of it is written in very small letters. The footnotes are even smaller.

I want to share one of the footnotes. He is talking about the importance of spreading the wisdom of Kabbalah. He says, “Why is our generation ready, unlike any other?” He says, “I feel in my entire being, in all of my body, that all of the promises in the Zohar that talk about the revelation of this wisdom at the end of days, even to the youngest of people, those were said for our generation. That’s why I took upon myself to explain the writings from the Ari, the Tree of Life, and this is why for the first time I took it upon myself to reveal these secrets out to the world.Because I feel in my entire being that now is the time for these secrets to be revealed to the entire world.”

He speaks about why. He says it has nothing to do with himself. It is because of “the generation within which I find myself.” He says all the revelation throughout history, Moses, Rabbi Shimon, the Ari, although the people who were chosen to make the revelation were of a high level, more importantly it was the generation that was ready.

Every day I thank the Creator for allowing me to be born or reborn in this generation. All of us in this generation today are ready for this great revelation.

That’s why Rav Ashlag’s soul was sent here. If it were not for where the world is at today, there would be no opportunity to reveal this Light.
